Child healthcare team (JGZ)

Every child develops in their own way. This usually goes well, but sometimes there are moments when parents have questions or doubts. This is where the JGZ can help.

At the JGZ you can access help from paediatricians, children’s nurses, speech therapists and assistants. They work closely with schools, childcare facilities, health organisations, the child health team and other healthcare departments.

A nurse from the baby clinic will visit you at home during the first two weeks after birth to see how everything is going. You can ask for advice over care, growth, feeding and development for your baby.

The hearing test will be carried out by the CJG between 1-3 weeks after the birth. You will receive an invitation for this by post. Click here for information about the hearing test. (In Dutch)
